A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Latoya graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She is the President of the Black Law Student Association, a student attorney for the College of Law Clinic Program, a graduate assistant for the Career Services Office on the Downtown campus, and a LexisNexis student representative. She has participated in summer associate programs for Steptoe and Johnson in Charleston, WV and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in both Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC.
As a member of the WEST VIRGINIA LAW REVIEW Volume 110, she is the Symposium Editor and responsible for organizing Part II of: ?Thinking Outside of the Box: A Post-Sago Look at Coal Mine Safety.?
After graduation, Latoya will be a first year associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in its Washington, D.C. office.
